Eatons Hill lies about 21 km north-west of the Brisbane CBD, with the South Pine River forming most of its southern boundary and South Pine Road crossing it at Cashs Crossing. It is named after pioneer William Eaton, who farmed at Albany Creek from 1874 and served on the Pine Shire Council. The South Pine Bridge at Cashs Crossing was built in 1892, and residential development began in the early 1970s.
